money money money moneeey..MONEY

A lot has changed since my last blog, it has been longer than anticipated but life just seems to have passed me by.

I have essentially been spending the majority of my life in my work uniform or my pyjamas.

It's great that I am getting so many hours in, but when you get paid monthly, it feels like you have to do so much to get so little, if you catch my drift. However, it is pay day on Thursday which could not come quick enough as my financial situation is particularly dire at the moment.

Unfortunately I am still waiting for my €700 deposit from my Italian house to be returned, which should hopefully happen in the next couple of weeks.

In terms of University, I have just officially re-registered, which is exciting. Whilst I know that there is a huge workload ahead of me, I am looking forward to decorating my new room and getting back into my Leicester surroundings with old friends.

I have been trying to do some preparation for my dissertation, trying to read the books (and failing) and finding secondary resources online, unfortunately I am more preoccupied with what I consider to be the rather exciting task of buying stationery. I will admit, there are times where I would rather walk around Paperchase and Rymans than New Look and Topshop.

In other exciting news, I recently bought a car (hence the reason for my dire financial situation), I have been desperate to get a new car for 3 years since my little Chloe the Clio passed away (may she Rest In Peace). I have been putting it off due to money and not really needing one, however this summer has pushed me to the limit. The fact that my sister has a child and a job to work around, and my mum just had an operation on her wrist and therefore cannot drive meant I literally had no way of getting to and from work, and considering my insurance was much less than I thought it would be, I figured it was time to make the big step.

I purchased a lovely little Punto (named Penny)...it looks very much like this one from Google Images:

In other news, I've kind of fallen off the healthy eating bandwagon. I'm still really enjoying the gym, when I get the chance to go, but I cannot find inspiration to eat healthily daily, finding meal ideas seems to be my biggest problem, I'm especially worried about this when it comes to shopping for myself full time again..agrhh!! Any ideas in the comments below would be most appreciated.

I think that's about it for now, I will update soon :)

Warning...generic introduction post ahead.

This Blog: Why?

I have another blog (click here to read it) which I no longer update that I used to keep track of my year abroad I have recently returned from in Bologna, Italy. Now that I am back that blog is no longer relevant give its title is 'uniyearabroad'.
(where I spent my last year ^)

This blog, is to be about my fourth and final year at University. Facing the 'final year fear' of leaving the student 'bubble' and having to decide what the hell I'm going to do with my life, whilst getting some kind of work experience in said area and managing to maintain a 2.1 in the hardest and most important year so far. FUN.

I figured that once I'm through this long, dark tunnel and have reached the light, it will be nice to be able to go back and read what I suffered through, as well as (hopefully) it providing some kind of cathartic effect.

This Blog: What?

It will mainly be daily posts about my life, more than likely moaning about the amount of work I have to do, I'll also include the odd beauty/fashion post as I have a slightly out of control make-up obsession. I'm hoping mainly to log my journey of discovering what it is I want to do with my life and the steps I take to get there. So if you want to join me for the ride, and enjoy a good old-fashioned moan, click the 'Follow' button :)

I'll just leave you with this bite-size teaser for now and will return with something a little juicier asap.
